UPDATE
Its well overdue for an update but here it is. Over the past 8 months we have had programmers coming and going and other projects taking all our available time so development on version 4 has ground to a halt.
We are now coming to the end of our current and more immediate projects so development will begin again in the next few weeks.....promise!. Sorry for the delay, we have been bombarded with emails asking us when it will be out, so just sit tight and i will update this site more frequently in future to inform of progress.

Due to the weaknesses with the standard Windows search tool, and nothing obvious on the market powerful enough to fill this niche, we felt it was necessary to produce the product that Microsoft should really have provided in the first place.
This product will allow you to do a search on files, folders or both using Name, Contents, Size, Attributes or Dates with masses of other sub criteria to really refine the search. The Name search for example will allow you to search for
multiple files or filetypes using any combination of wildcard characters in a single search, while the contents search can search for keywords and/or phrases either on a line in a document or individually spread throughout the whole document with the added benefit of being able to see the matching results without ever having to open the files!
It can search both text related files (txt/html/bat/ini/frm...etc) as well as binary files such as MP3 files and executables.
Results are displayed in a table, complete with all available data relating to the file, including size, file type, dates (created/modified/last accessed), path and attributes. All returned results may be saved to a comma delimited file for import and manipulation in packages such as Excel and the like.
There is also full printing available, both for printing a list of files/folders in the current directory aswell as being able to print out the results from the search. Built-in Help screens allow an easy to see explanation of what everything does so you should find it a breeze.

Main List of Features
- Search for single or multiple files or filetypes by full name/partial name or wildcard pattern in a single search
- Choose to search a single hard drive/CD drive/floppy/My documents, all local hard drives, the entire PC or across a connected Local Area Network.
- Contents of files can be searched for multiple matching keywords or phrases on line or whole document basis
- Keywords/phrases can be matched by case
- Contents search can display only first matching line found (for speed) or ALL lines that match
- Search file contents and display matching lines context without ever opening up any documents
- Choose to include Hidden or System files in all searches
- Choose to find matching files only, folders only or both
- Open a retrieved file in its associated program by simple double-clicking it
- Files can be found according to created/modified/accessed date range or within a given number of days/months back
- Search folder depth can be set to current folder only or any depth below including all subdirectories
- Searching can span drives simply by choosing the 'My Computer' option in the drive selection box
- Search for files based on their size using 'At least', 'Equal to', 'Between' or 'At most' ranges in bytes, Kbs, Mbs or Gbs.
- Search for files/folders based on their attributes of Read-Only, Archive, Hidden, System, Compressed, Directory, Temporary
- Columns can be re-ordered by simply dragging the column headers to where they are needed most
- Results can be ordered in ascending or descending order on any of the listed columns by simply clicking on the column header
- Files in Results box can be Renamed/Permanently Deleted or sent to the Recycle Bin. The properties may also be displayed.
- Save your 20 favourite folders for quick access to regularly searched folders
- Print out the list of files and folders in the current directory along with relevant information (size,date created/last modified/attributes)
- Full printing available on the search results
- Can be called from the right click menu of Windows Explorer (can be toggled on and off)
- ToolTip Text displays help on a control/button/box/icon if the mouse hovers over it
- Customize and save your favourite option settings for each type of search so it will always default to these values on startup
- Copy file and path names to the clipboard for pasting into other applications or open dialog boxes
